Student of the Month: Yaretzi Sandoval

Yaretzi Sandoval was selected as High School Student of the Month. Yaretzi is 14 years old and is a freshman at Guthrie. Her parents are Juan and Irma Sandoval, and she has an older sister, Diana Sandoval, and older brother, JJ Sandoval. Yaretzi’s extracurricular activities include FCCLA, track, basketball, cheerleading and Kids Praise Night. Yaretzi is striving to be the Salutatorian or Valedictorian of her class when she graduates. After high school, she plans on attending college and getting a degree, but she doesn’t know what area yet. Her advice for younger kids is to never give up. You have lots of options, but quitting is not one of them. Her favorite part of Guthrie is how we treat each other like family. Yaretzi says that by working with the Guthrie Graduate Profile, it has allowed her to become a better person by improving certain characteristics. Guthrie is very proud of you accomplishments.
