The District 15-1A One Act Play Contest is being held at Spur High School Auditorium on Tuesday, March 5. Plays begin at 1 pm, and will be performed in the following order:
1. Spur High School with "Tracks" 2. Jayton High School with "These Shining Lives" 3. Guthrie High School with 'The Last Night of Ballyhoo" Come out and enjoy some great theatre, and support our talented students! 15 Guthrie students attended the Stamford Cotton Classic Academic Invitational on Saturday, February 23rd. Guthrie students participated in the District CX Debate Competition on Wednesday, February 7th. After a full day of debate, Guthrie came out on top as the District Champs. Taylor Moore and JJ Gibson placed 1st overall as a team and advanced to the State competition. Taylor also received the Top Speaker Award. Kaleb Brendle and Coulter Reel placed 3rd overall as a team and are State Alternates. Brance Boger and Eli Jenkins placed 4th overall as a team and had a great day as well. Congratulations students and Coach Ashley Branch!

For more pictures of the NHS inductions, click on the tab below. The Jag Wires 2.0 First Tech Challenge Robotics Team competed at Lubbock High School on Saturday in the UIL District Championship. The Jag Wires 2.0 were chosen for the Inspire Award out of 27 teams from all classifications. This judged award is given to the team that embodied the ‘challenge’ of the FIRST Tech Challenge program. The team that receives this award is a strong ambassador for FIRST programs and a role model FIRST team. This team is a top contender for many other judged awards and is a gracious competitor. The Inspire Award winner is an inspiration to other teams, acting with Gracious Professionalism® both on and off the playing field. This team shares their experiences, enthusiasm and knowledge with other teams, sponsors, their community, and the Judges. Working as a unit, this team will have showed success in performing the task of designing and building a robot. By earning the Inspire Award, the Jag Wires 2.0 qualify for the UIL FTC Robotics Regional Championship Meet on February 16th at Lubbock High School.
