The JH & HS Jags and Lady Jags ran in the Spur Cross Country meet on Saturday, September 30th.
The Varsity Lady Jags placed 3rd as a team. Individual places were: Reagan Maxwell 5th, Nea Vierula 6th, Mary Gilliland 33rd, Rachel Brendle 34th, Brylee Smith 39th, Karlie Van Meter 48th, Kaylie Green 50th. In the JV girls division placings were: Abigail Jones 4th, Jaycee McCauley 7th, Yaretzi Sandoval 22nd, and Emily Rocha 25th. The JH Lil' Lady Jags took 4th place in their division. Individual places were: Brylee Moore 4th, Coulter Reel 7th, Sheridon Smith 35th, Hannah Green 36th, Journey Johnson 42nd, Wendy Uribe 62nd, and Faith Keasler 76th. Two Jaguars ran in the HS JV division. Valec Landini placed 18th and Damian Landini placed 46th. Congratulations Jags and Lady Jags! The HS Jags and Lady Jags competed in the Lubbock CC meet this weekend.
In the varsity girls, individual places were: Reagan Maxwell 16th, Brylee Smith 39th, Mary Gilliland 60th, Rachel Brendle 66th, Kaylie Green 82nd, Abigail Jones 87th, and Morgan McCauley 88th. The Lady Jags placed 8th as a team. In the JV division, individual places were not kept in the race. We had four Lady Jags and one Jaguar compete in the JV division and we are very proud of their efforts. They are: Nea Vierula, Karlie Van Meter, Jaycee McCauley, Emily Rocha, and Damian Landini. Congratulations Jags and Lady Jags! The Lil' Lady Jags competed in the Rotan CC meet on Wednesday, September 20th. There were 18 schools in the 8th grade division and they took 3rd place!
Individual places were: Brylee Moore 2nd, Coulter Reel 9th, Sheridon Smith 24th, Journey Johnson 27th, Hannah Green 35th, Teresa Doran 47th, Wendy Uribe 52nd, and Faith Keasler 74th. Friday, September 22, is "Boot the Buffaloes" day at Guthrie CSD. Be sure and wear your boots to "spur" the Jags on to a victory Friday night at 8:00 PM at Jack Huey Field! Go Jags.
The fourth and fifth grade classes will be hosting a Bake Sale to benefit Hurricane Harvey victims. They will be set up at EVERY single home football and basketball game, beginning with the September 22 double header match up between Borden County and Bryson at 5:30 followed by the Jaguars vs. Petersgurg at 8:00.
