Several Activities This Week

There are several activities this week.  Below is a list of happenings at Guthrie CSD.

Wednesday, October 24th

7:00 pm – Chili Cook-Off at the Community Center.

8:00 pm-ish – Bonfire.

Thursday, October 25th

JH football game has been moved to 5:00 pm.

HS football game will start at 7:30 pm.

Following the High School game, there will be a short production by the Navy Seals.

• 3-5 minute production similar to a One-Act Play.
• It will occur 30-45 minutes after the HS game to allow Patton Springs time to leave, any Guthrie folks time to leave, if they choose, and our football guys time to change. 
• Navy Seals demonstrating their skills to rescue a civilian (she will be an actor from the Navy Seals), apprehend the “bad guy” (he will be an actor from the Navy Seals). They will fire their guns, but don't worry, they won't use live ammo.
• All spectators will be in the stands.
• During the demonstration the football lights will be off, parking lot lights will be on, track lights will be on, and concession lights will be on.
• After the demonstration, Navy Seal Lt. Jason Payne will address the crowd about life as a Navy Seal, obtaining goals, and achieving goals. And Lt. Payne will be handing out Navy Seals memorabilia.
• Because of the loud gunfire, it will be most appropriate for junior high students and older.  
• It will be your decision, as a parent, to let your child attend.

Saturday, October 27th

Varsity girls basketball team will scrimmage @ 2:30 pm in Guthrie.
Fall Festival

• 5:00 pm Trunk or Treat.
• 5:30 pm Juniors start serving dinner in the Activity Center.
• 6:00 pm One-Act Play by the Junior High.
• 7:00 pm Bingo and Booths open.
• 10:00 pm Auction
