Kid's Praise Night

This summer, Kirston Burson, Sammie Jones, and Misti Jones started a Kid’s Praise Night here in Guthrie. Kid’s Praise night is every Wednesday at the Baptist Church starting at 5:00 and ending at 6:30.  The music, featuring: Big Daddy Weave, NewsBoys, Mercy Me, Allison Krauss, and many more, usually starts around 5:00. 

At 5:30, students are divided into three different groups. Elementary is taught by Sammie Jones, junior high is taught by Kirston Burson, and high school is taught by Misti Jones. Every week, the teachers always have a great message. At about 6:15, everyone joins together at the main church and sings together.

Since school has started, the number of kids that attend has increased every week. Last week 60 kids (ages 4-18) showed up to Kid’s Praise Night. That may not seem like a lot, but 60 kids out of the 110 kids in the Guthrie school attend Kid’s Praise Night. WOW, that's awesome! This is especially awesome, since there are some kids that live 15 to 40 miles away. It just goes to show that mileage doesn’t mean much when it comes going to church. 

We also have many generous ladies and gentlemen who stay after to help clean up, help teach, and bring food every week.
