January Student of the Month: Gina Cheyne

Gina Cheyne was selected as this months high school student of the month. Gina is 16 years old and a sophomore. Her parents are Sug and Shana Cheyne, and her sisters are Sarah and Katie. Gina’s activities include basketball, attending church, and visiting with friends. Her favorite class is FCS and she does not have a favorite teacher. Her high school goal is to make a difference in everyone’s life that she meets. Gina is currently working towards being inducted into the National Honor Society. She plans on attending college to become either a diagnostic sonographer or a nutritionist. Gina’s advice to younger kids is to enjoy going home at 3:30 everyday, as it is a rare occasion once you hit high school. She says that her favorite part about Guthrie is that everyone cares about everyone else and works to be the best people they can possibly be. Gina says that to her, the Guthrie Graduate Profile is special because it demonstrates how much the administrators care about the students here. It prepares the kids to be persons of great character after leaving high school. Everyone is proud of Gina and her accomplishments. Congratulations.
