The Guthrie Jaguars took on the Munday Mogals last night for the Bi-District playoff game in Stamford. For the second year in a row, the Jags made the playoffs, but are still looking to get a gold ball. Starting off hot and fast, the Jags took a 15 to 10 lead. Starting the second quarter, the Jags looked to add to the lead. Having started off fast and on fire, the Jags looked like they were going to finally do it. Ending the half, the Jags were up 30-18. Coming out of half, the Jaguars started slow, but then picked it up from where they left off. The Jags picked up their defense and only allowed 10 points in the second half. Ending the third quarter, the Jags were up 39-27. Starting the fourth quarter, the Jags looked to keep the lead. After 16 years of not bringing a gold ball home, the Jags finally did it! Ending the game with a 43-28 score and winning the Bi-District game. Great job to the Jags, and a thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Jaguars. The Jags play Crosbyton in Snyder at 6:30 on Friday for the Area round of the State U.I.L playoffs. We hope to see y’all there and cheer on the Jags. |
