The Jaguars took the field on Friday night looking to keep their undefeated season alive and their dreams alive. If you've been watching the Jags play this season, you know how they always start the game. They started the game fast and scored on their opening drive. Tucker Brendle took it in from 7-yards out on a tough run. Adding the extra point by Christian Rocha, the Jaguars were up 8-0, early in the first quarter. After the Jaguars defense stopped the Yellowhammers, they took it to the air. Christian Rocha threw a 26-yard bullet to Tucker Brendle and ran it in for touch down. The Jaguars were up 16-0. Back on defense, the Jags got a huge interception by Dion Vasquez and he ran it back for a touchdown. The Jaguars were up 22-0. The Jags tough defense was there all night and kept the Yellowhammers out all night. The Jaguars fast offense got the ball back and scored on a 18-yard run, with great blocking by the front line of the Jaguars. The Jaguars were up 36-0 starting the second quarter. And the Jags weren’t done yet! The Jags defense kind of fell apart and let the Yellowhammers from Rotan creep on the goal, but the Jaguars showed that their defense wasn’t what people think of. They rised to the occasion, and got a huge interception on their own 2-yard line by Christian Rocha and returned it 78-yards for the touchdown. Being up 36-0, the Jags didn’t let off the gas pedal, and shut down the offense of the Yellowhammers and got the ball back. Once again on the ground again, Landon Roberts took it in on a 23-yard run, putting the Jags up 44-0 going into halftime. The Jags had to come out and make a huge stop and score again and the game would be over. And the Jags did just that. Stopping Rotan, and getting the ball back. One play people. One play, is all it took for the Jaguars to shut out the Yellowhammers and put the game away. Tucker Brendle took it on the ground from 25-yards out and ended the game. The Jaguars won 50-0. The Jaguars have an open this next week, and look to put their focus on going to Jayton and keeping their opportunity for a great season alive.
