On Saturday, February 20, the Guthrie Robotics Team #9868 "Jag Wires" competed in the Panhandle Plains FTC Regional Championship at Frenship HS. They came away with the top two highest honors of the competition: Winning Alliance Team Captain and Inspire Award. This is a pretty remarkable achievement, especially considering these students are in their rookie season, never having competed in this type of robotics program. They now advance to play again in the Super Regional Championship in San Antonio on March 9-11. At that competition, these students will be competing with 72 other teams from 12 states for a chance to attend the FTC World Robotics Championship.
The students on Team #9868 "Jag Wires" are: Jose Sandoval, Noe Monjaraz, Sarah Ballard, Cheyenne Killebrew, Yaretzi Sandoval, Jaycee McCauley, JJ Gibson, Kaylie Green, Morgan McCauley and Tristan Story. We are all very proud of these students' accomplishments. Way to go!
