Everyone is invited to the Guthrie Robotics Open House, scheduled for this Thursday (February 11) from 6:00-7:00pm. It will be held in Mr. Wilson's classroom and will be a chance for everyone to see up close how the GCSD robotics program operates. The event will be open to students, parents, teachers, family and community members. The GCSD robotics team members will give talks, answer questions and demo robots during this come-and-go open house.
These students are hosting this open house event as part of their FTC Regional Robotics Contest. They are required to do several community outreach projects and incorporate those into their formal team presentations and judges interviews. Their next contest is on Saturday, February 20 at Frenship HS. Please help them prepare for that by attending and listening to their talks, watching their demos and asking questions. Every interaction they have on Thursday evening will help better prepare them for their contest. Your presence will also provide a much needed morale boost to these kids. They've worked literally every day since the first day of school preparing for this contest. Its a lot of work with minimal exposure and only a few chances for outside affirmations. Hope you'll be able to attend!
