In our efforts to support our men and women who are currently serving our country, we are having a school wide snack drive during the month of October. We would like to show our appreciation to these service men and women by packing snack boxes that will be delivered to them in November. As a school, we will be making cards, writing letters, and assembling boxes along with a program we will have for our Veterans on November 9th. Each grade level will be responsible for specific snack items that have been requested. Please see the following list and work with your children in collecting these items. It would be great to discuss the sacrifices these individuals make for us daily and how we can make some small sacrifices to give back and show them our appreciation.
Pre-K - 1st Grades: Collect packages of gum and mints (small individual packages are best) 2-3 Grades: Individual snack bags of cookies and crackers 4-5 Grades: Individually wrapped Rice Krispy treats or granola bars (no chocolate) 6-8 Grades: Individually wrapped hard candy and individually drink mixes (powders that can be mixed with water) 9-10 Grades: Individual instant coffee packets (no cans) and individual flavored creamer packets 11-12 Grades: Instant oatmeal packets and Ramen Noodles We are trying to reach Veterans in our community and King County that have served or are currently serving.
