​2019 UIL Academic Regional Meet Results

 Of the 53 high schools in Region 2, Class 1A, Guthrie finished 1st overall. 
 
The students who represented GHS at the meet were Hanna McCulloch, Brandon Passmann, TK Mays, Coulter Reel, Brylee Smith, Hallie Richardson, Kaleb Brendle, Shaylee Boger, Maggie Jenkins, JJ Gibson, Morgan McCauley, Brittney Brandon, Mary Gilliland, Eli Jenkins, Rachel Brendle, Abigail Jones, Brance Boger, Zac Ballard, Faith Keasler, Sheridon Smith, Taylor Moore, and Levi Jones.
 
Individual Awards at the Meet went to:
  
Abigail Jones - Best Technician in OAP 
 
Eli Jenkins – 6th place in Current Issues and Events,
6th place in Social Studies, 2nd place in Science, and 2nd place Science team
 
Coulter Reel – 1st place in Feature Writing, 1st in Editorial Writing, 1st place Journalism team,  1st place Literary Criticism team, 3rd place in News Writing, and 1st place Number Sense team
 
Maggie Jenkins – 6th in Editorial Writing and 1st place Journalism team
 
Morgan McCauley – 2nd place Mathematics team
 
Kaleb Brendle – Best Actor in OAP, 5th place in Feature Writing, 1st place in Poetry,    1st place Journalism team, 1st place Speech team, 1st place in Literary Criticism, and 1st place Literary Criticism team
 
Hallie Richardson – 2nd place in Lincoln-Douglas Debate and 4th place in Literary Criticism, 1st place Speech team, and 1st place Literary Criticism team
 
Brylee Smith – 4th place in Lincoln-Douglas Debate and 1st place Speech team
 
TK Mays – 5th place in Literary Critcism, 1st place Literary Criticism team, 1st place in Mathematics, 2nd place Mathematics team, 4th place Number Sense, and 1st place Number Sense team
 
JJ Gibson – 2nd place Science team
 
Taylor Moore – 1st place in Prose, 1st place Speech team, All-Star Cast in OAP
 
Faith Keasler – 2nd place in Prose, 1st place Speech team,
 
Zac Ballard – 1st place Journalism team, and 1st place in News Writing
 
Hanna McCulloch – 2nd place Number Sense, and 1st place Number Sense team
 
Brittney Brandon – 2nd place Mathematics team
 
Rachel Brendle - 1st place Speech team, Honorable Mention All-Star Cast in OAP
 
Shaylee Boger – 2nd place Mathematics team, 2nd place in Biology, 3rd place in Science, and 2nd place Science team
 
Brandon Passmann – 1st place Number Sense team, 5th place in Science, 2nd place Science team
